The Superstar came out in 1969 as a leather basketball shoe with a rubber shell toe. Run-DMC’s 1986 track My Adidas made it a hip hop staple, and through the 90s the tough shell toe made it a popular street skating shoe.
adidas Skateboarding later released an ADV version with skate cushioning.
