Emerica was launched by Sole Technology in 1996 and built its identity around a raw, hard-drinking, rough-edged image that stood apart from the tech-heavy shoes of the time. Andrew Reynolds, Heath Kirchart, Ed Templeton and Leo Romero are among its best-known riders.
Its full-length videos This Is Skateboarding (2003) and Stay Gold (2010) are counted among the most influential skate videos ever made.
