Nike SB Dunk Low

The Dunk began as a 1985 college basketball shoe sold in school colors. For the 2002 launch of Nike SB it was reworked as the Dunk Low Pro SB, with a fat padded tongue and a Zoom Air insole, and team riders Reese Forbes, Gino Iannucci, Richard Mulder and Danny Supa each picked a colorway.

Short runs and collaborations with shops, artists and brands made it the center of sneaker collecting in the mid-2000s. The 2005 Pigeon Dunk, made with Jeff Staple, drew such a crowd in New York that police were called. Rare pairs sell far above retail.
