The Sk8-Hi, Style #38, raised the Old Skool to cover the ankle, answering skaters who were cracking their ankles in pools and on ramps in the late 1970s. It kept the sidestripe and the waffle sole.
It became a standard for vert and bowl skaters and has been reissued in many forms, including padded Pro versions.
